Are cell phones the cause of brain cancer? During the height of the cell phone century, a lot of the customers have been voicing out this concern for quite a while. The thought of having an electromagnetic radiating device near your head has been quite a lot of concern for most skeptics. But while these may seem a bit ridiculous to most people, a few are starting look at this direction. One could go with the saying “innocent until proven guilty.” Cell phone radiation is like that, there is no known link that can prove that cancer is related to cell phone radiation. But this same argument can be given backwards. Guilty until proven innocent, so to speak.
Cell phones have grown in the area covered at an impressive rate over the past few years. Since then, most people have had attributed weird phenomenon to this growth of cell phone usage. Bee’s disappearing from the urban areas, even global warming, the rise of different types of diseases; you name it, electromagnetic radiation must have caused it.
Even your ordinary headache (which experts are hinting that it has something more to do with cranial pressure from having something near to your head for a long time), skin cancer (which is more sun-related), these fears can still cause a bit of hysteria and suspicion within the general population. Add to the fact that if an influential person voices this out, the population is easily swayed.
As of now, there is no evidence to solidly back up the claim that cell phones and cancer in the brain are related. There have been more than at least a large part of the population who uses cell phones nowadays, but no rise in brain cancer is visibly observed. It could also be a psychosomatic illness when you hear someone say that it can cause disease.
Lawmakers in some regions of the world are pushing cell phone manufacturers to have distinct warning labels regarding the radiation that is emitted by cell phones. By and by, there could be warning labels in the back of new mobile phones, but the figures for that will still be kept under wraps. Parents might be concerned about the influence of cell phones reaching their growing child’s brains so profits for cell phone production might see a downward trend.
